About Nusbaum & Ott Painting

The Nusbaum & Ott story begins in 1958, with Bernard “Bud” J. Ott II and Donald Nusbaum.

The two men wanted to provide high-quality painting and contracting services to people throughout Maryland, with a goal to deliver exceptional customer service and support. Nusbaum & Ott was incorporated a few years later, in 1963.

In the early 1990s, when Bud retired and Donald passed away, Bud’s son, Bernard “Buddy” J. Ott III took ownership of the business. His son, Brian worked alongside him.

Buddy supervised the day-to-day progress on projects, while Brian took the lead estimating and bringing in new projects.

In 2012, Buddy passed away, and Brian took full ownership of the business, which he still heads today.

Brian first began working for Nusbaum & Ott in 1986, learning the trade, adhering to a high standard of service, and how to treat people fairly. He has a keen sense of detail and is always willing to go the extra mile to make his customers happy and the project look its absolute best.
